Many manufactures also take IoT as an important development. In IoT digital home environment, users utilize Gateway (mobile phone or suitable device) to control the household devices (e.g. wisdom appliances or sensors) or wearable devices (ex. wisdom glass or wisdom watch). Since each device has its own technical standard (e.g., Bluetooth or Wi-Fi or ZigBee) and have different characteristics, it is very inconvenient when users need to read/control/analysis large number of devices. There are no existing standards that can automatically manage all devices. Therefore, this paper proposes a solution that can manage devices basing on their properties accordingly. In the proposed scheme, each device given different dimensions of attributes (e.g. name or location or user). Each attribute has corresponding properties. The gateway and user access devices according to these properties. When devices change its situation, it only has to change its properties on the gateway and all manual and automatic scheme can be maintained properly. We also conduct simulation to discuss the performance of our proposed scheme. The result shows that our method can reduce the number of manual setting, promoting the gateway’s efficiency.
