Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 政治系研究所 === 105 === This thesis aims to explore the process of constitutional operation after democratization in Poland since 1989. The focus is mainly on the interactions among the president, the prime minister and the parliament (the Sejm) by using the different variables which include power alternation after constitutional transition, electoral cycle, party system, coalition cabinet and so on. In addition, we specifically focus on the government lead by the Law and Justice party (Prawo i Sprawiedliwość, PiS) after presidential and legislative elections in 2015. We also elaborate on why the indicator of democracy declines significantly in Poland and then to discuss whether the checks and balances in Poland are enough or not.
