Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 犯罪防治碩士在職專班 === 105 === The impact of the tendency to have fewer Children on Taiwan society cannot be under estimated. With the decrease in the number of student enrollment, it directly impacts the operation of education system. The biggest impact is on the teachers in Taiwan, as they will face great change in their responsibilities, workplace and the interactions between themselves, and with parents and students. This is the main focus of this study. The literature analysis method was applied on this study. Based on the previous research and academic theory foundation, we further obtain the information through various open interviews that were conducted amongst teachers at various schools. In 2017, we interviewed 10 teachers who have experienced circumstances which led the school to close, merge or minimize the number of classes in the last 3 years, or they may have become an extra teacher in school, or a principle that has undertaken a small transformation of the school’s development. This study is mainly focused on the implication causing changes in the teacher’s career and development plan of schools. The following are the research results: 1. Interest disputes can arise due to performance competition between peers 2. Relationship with parents create subtle changes in authority 3. Relationship with students turns toward commercialization of being service-oriented
