Summary:碩士 === 中臺科技大學 === 醫療暨健康產業管理系碩士班 === 105 === Musculoskeletal disease is a common disease elders’ in Chinese and Western medicine, the public for Chinese medical and Western medical services are often have their own preferences, therefore, this study intends to study the elders’ as the object of study, western and traditional chinese medicine by musculoskeletal disorder patients and its related factoes in taiwan. The study of the National Health Research Insurance database for secondary data analysis, From the 2005 edition of millions of people in the file to retrieve the elders’ in 2011 over the age of 65 years old, analysis of their outpatient use of musculoskeletal disease medical information, and further explore Chinese and Western medicine, Chinese medicine, Western medicine for medical purposes. The age of the elderly aged 80 to 84 years of musculoskeletal disorder se outpatient use of the highest number, accounting for 5.07 times, and the number of male use higher than women. Elders’ among different types of disease, most of the elders’ due to the disease still choose to Western medicine based; among them, low back pain (12.9%), shoulder rotation ring syndrome and related diseases (10.0%), sciatica (6.6%) were more commonly used in Chinese medicine; Chinese and Western medicine and use; sciatica (15.3%), lumbar intervertebral disc displacement, not associated with spinal cord lesions (13.6%), low back pain (12.7%) were the most commonly used Chinese and Western medicine. Relevant factors affecting the use of Chinese and Western medical services in the elders’ include: sex, age, medical field, whether there is chronic disease. Among them, women, with chronic diseases and living in the northern region and the older ones will use Western medicine. Affect the elder's musculoskeletal disease of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medical treatment and the number of factors, including: age, health status, regional medical resources.
