Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 室內設計研究所 === 105 === An excellent drawing as a communication means will effectively correct engineering issues and reduce errors. Hence designer’s drawing ability will substantially affect the quality of completed work. In order to gain an understanding of differences in graphics courses between schools and also the process of the interior designer training as well as how designers learn their graphics ability, in this research, the interior design, graphics, course design and schematic design will be defined by studying other similar literatures and then differentiated from the graphics of other professional fields. Subsequently, the results are compared and analyzed against graphics courses offered in Interior Design Departments of various Taiwan high schools. Finally, the experts from 12 schools, mainly the interior graphics teachers, were interviewed about their views on course design, interior graphics, and teaching experience in order to understand differences between drawing and interior graphics, interior design courses and course objectives, space construction, schematic reading and drawing, course evaluation criteria and standards and etc. From the interviews, it was found that 1. courses offered in most schools focus on schematic drawing ability and less on schematic reading, and 2.inadequate ability in space construction leads to misunderstanding of courses related to ceiling schematic. The findings will be used as references for course design from space construction, schematic concept and theory to interior graphics skills and rules. The course duration will be 36 weeks, focusing mainly on ceiling schematic drawing.
