Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 奈米科技碩士學位學程 === 105 === Polymer-dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC), which adopts light scattering to achieve gray levels, does not require polarizer so the light can be used efficiently. In this study, we obtained lower threshold and operating voltages, higher contrast, and less response time by doping PDLC with various nanoparticles and adjusting the doping concentrations. However, when the concentration is too high, the PDLC films show an uneven distribution of LC droplets and the droplets are also too large. When it happens, the transmittance of PDLC at zero applied voltage increases and the overall contrast decreases.
