This study proposes a novel electrocardiography monitor for intelligent home system. Its major function is to transmit ECG signals and daily living video of the elderly under care at home to his/her family and health care professionals. The health care professionals can provide instant health care if an emergency occurs. The proposed electrocardiography monitor has the following advantages: (a) the hardware can be easily realized, (b) ECG signals are transmitted by popular Wi-Fi technology, (c) the life video of the elderly can be viewed in real time mode.
