Society never saw this extent of inequality before in the traditional market. In the modern market filled with much information, consumers have weak ability to gather useful and real information to make decisions or protect their right. That is to say that consumers are becoming vulnerable in today’s market. Therefore, legislators should use its power to balance the relationship between consumers and traders by giving some advantage to consumers. As a result, the purpose of consumer protection law is to alleviate the inequality between consumers and traders. From the US and European consumer protection development, we can see the most basic and most important is the consumer's information rights. The reason is that, even if the consumer protection law gives consumers of consumer organizations lots of rights, traders still have a great advantage if the consumer itself cannot have useful and real information. That is the consumers cannot be effectively protected, and the purpose of the consumer protection law cannot achieve. Hwang, Horng-Chyuan 黃宏全 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 186 zh-TW
