The key methodological concern in the research is how to translate audiences' aesthetic feeling and visual impact into representational forms or images that could facilitate the discussion. Henceforth this paper will make use of the imagery properties of photography and painting, wherein exhibited artefacts presented themselves as still life objects, and the effects and aesthetic consequences of light source upon them could be discussed and studied. Six interviews were invited for this study, with the participants being individuals who were active in photography social communities and possessed a willingness to share their photo shooting experiences at exhibitions. The study uses on-site observations and interviews to gather information for organization and analysis. Research discoveries and conclusions are as below: I. The interviewees had different exhibition touring experiences and thus a different feel for on-site light sources. Their views on light sources and how the felt can be categorized into how a balanced light source can affect how detailed exhibited cultural relics appear to the viewer, how light sources influence a signboard with text descriptions, etc. II. Interviewees weighed in on factors affecting photography of showpieces as a form of recording. This primarily focuses on how to address and resolve the issue of not having enough functions on one’s camera or smartphone while touring an exhibition. III. Interviewees gave their input on the differences of the use of photography and taking photos of cultural relics.Cultural relic photography can rely on multi-faceted light sources to make adjustments, but on-site light sources at exhibitions are fixed so the light is provided top-down. Color temperature and white balance calibration is done with image-editing software. IV. Interviewees view towards the casual exhibition attendee’s photographs is that they need to find a solution for the light reflections on the glass surfaces of showpiece casings. The main issue is that exhibition lighting is insufficient, so the one taking photographs needs to adjust camera exposure. A sacrifice on the portrait in images, to better the overall composition of the photographs. Based on the results of the research study described above, the researcher proposes conclusions on how to adapt to different lighting situations for visual comfort. The images presented by the use of different photography angles can be used by other exhibition visitors as reference when adjusting their cameras for taking pictures, and by photographers for reference when setting up light sources.
