After 30 years of development, Taiwan has been possessed a pivotal position in the global semiconductor supply chain, Packaging and Testing capacity is the world's first. Due to the China governments actively develop semiconductor industry to cause entire industry competition and intermittent merged. In August, 2015, ASE announced buying the 25% stocks of SPIL suddenly, then the two companies launched a series negotiation actives. In May, 2016, ASE and SPIL companies announced the establishment of "ASE Holdings Company". A company is a heater spreader product manufacturing company, mainly providing semiconductor companies for wafer Packaging and Testing process. ASE and SPIL are long-term cooperation customers. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of the merger of ASE and SPIL on the entire semiconductor industry. And provide advice for A company how to reduce the influence of the merger in the future.
