Summary:碩士 === 玄奘大學 === 應用心理學系碩士班 === 105 === The main purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship of self-compassion and depression, and probe into the flourish as a mediator between the relationship Of self-compassion and depression. The participants were 18 years old to 70 years old adults from northern, central, and southern Taiwan taking the scale testing within surveys, and there were 213 valid samples. The instruments applied in this study were ‘self-compassion scale’, ‘flourish scale’,and ‘depression of Taiwan scale’. The collected data was analyzed through SPSS20 with descriptive analysis, independent T test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and mediation analysis. The research findings could be summarized as: (1) There is a significant negative correlation between self-compassion and depression in adults. (2) There is a significant positive correlation between self-compassion and flourish in adults. (3) There is a significant negative correlation between flourish and depression in adults. (4) There is no significant difference in sex among flourish, self-compassion, and depression in adults. (5) Flourish as the mediator has the mediation effect among self-compassion and depression in adults.
