Summary:碩士 === 景文科技大學 === 環境科技與物業管理系碩士在職專班 === 105 === This study aimed to explore the effects of teaching picture books concerning environmental education to enhancing second graders’ environmental awareness ─ a case of“global warming”. This study was based on the pre-and-post-test design, to understand the resulting changes in second grade students in learning environmental education when teaching environmental education with the application of picture books. This study, a total of 21 subjects were selected from the second grade students of a school in New Taipei City. The subjects were included in the environmental education teaching experiment course, and each course was forty minutes,lasted for six week. The study instructions including self-developed “Environmental Awareness Test” and“Environmental Education Learning Interest Test.” were adopted as the instruments of analysis before and after the experiment. “Questionnaire on Environmenta Picture Book Teaching” was also analyzed to understand the effects of the teaching and the feedback from students. Results indicated as follows: 1. Environmenta picture books help to promote second graders’ environmental awareness. 2. Environmenta picture books help to boost second graders’learning interest in environmental education. 3. Environmental education English picture book teaching was highly received by the second graders. Based on the above findings, the researcher proposed specific suggestions as references for further research and for educators.
