碩士 === 開南大學 === 觀光與餐飲旅館學系 === 105 === Tourist industry plays an import role in global economic development trend day after day, in addition, it contributes to economic directly, it could promote international trade growth, it shows that tourism industries become a part of country’s economic development, hence, to investigate the determinants between tourist revenue and economic factors have become an important issue. This paper adopts econometric model, i.e. panel data random coefficient model, to investigate the sample countries from Asean and Non-Asean countries from Asia and to study the effects of determinants (economic growth, exchange rate, inbound tourism number and trade valume) to inbound tourism revenue to find the differential of fundamentals exist in cross-sectional countries. The results show that it is significant for variables to international tourist inbound revenue among different countries, it is implied that fundamental variables would affect inbound tourist revenue, and exchange rate variable expresses different trend from Asean and Non-Asean countries. Hence, all country’s government should increase the economic growth, enhance tourist infrastructure to stable the exchange rate market and to in coordination with bilateral trade to promote tourist traveling to create higher international tourist inbound revenue. This research conclusion could offer reference to government policy maker to work with investors to create tourist competitiveness and to act good tourist policy and law.
