Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 人力資源發展系碩士班 === 105 === This study aims to explore the relationship between toxic leadership, co-worker trust, and employee silence behavior. We posited affect and cognition-based trust in co-worker to be a mediator to explain the effects of toxic leadership on employee silence behavior. Also, we expect that workplace friendship prevalence moderate the relationship between toxic leadership and affect and cognition-based trust in co-worker. This research applied convenience sampling to collect self-report data with Taiwan engineers and there are 317 valid questionnaires. The results revealed that toxic leadership has a negative effect on co-worker’s cognition-based trust, positive effect on employee silence behavior. However the relationship between affect and cognition-based trust in co-worker and employee silence behavior are not correlated. Finally, this study shows a moderating effect that friendship prevalence can play a buffer role on toxic leadership and co-worker’s cognition-based trust.
