However, this function is not applicable for European and North American countries, thus the study looked at the structure of the retroreflector, explored the relationship between this structure and the changes in light reflection, and based its design on the requirements of the SAE International (Society of Automotive Engineers). Two types of reflectors were designed in this study, namely regular reflector and SuperPin reflector, and the design was completed with the automatic optimization function of the software that was used. The two reflectors' light-reflecting performances were compared and an actual version of the better-performing SuperPin reflector was made. The SuperPin reflector that was produced was then sent to the Automotive Research & Testing Center (ARTC) for testing, and the test results indicated that this reflector had met American standard SAE requirements.
