Screw manufacturers alone take up 80% of the factories in Gangshang Dist. Tremendous space is required for storing raw materials, intermediate goods, and finished goods storage during screw production. To reach efficient output, large hoards of operating machines would be lined up in the plants which are usually constructed as a iron-sheet structure to save costs. Iron-sheet structure itself can't stand high temperature,as a result in fire emergency, the factories would collapse at any time with the effect of enormous fumes and flames. What's worse, there's not enough ventilation inside the building to evaculate the fumes. Not only the fume causes casualties in the rescue mission, but firefighters could be trapped in the fire scene. This essay aimes to analyze the iron-sheet structure and risk factors of fire rescue in screw production. According to literature review, field survey, and case study, following issues are discussed: risk factors in screw production, first response at the infancy of fire and the risks firefighters face saving iron-sheet-made factories. In this study, we used the questionnaire survey and discussed the statistical analysis software SPSS.Research shows that: (1) firefighters generally are not familiar with screw-making process and the risk factors. (2) There's certain danger during the course of fire-saving. (3) Incident commander plays an important role in the fire scene. This study also suggests that fire crew should not only complete disaster rescue as safe and soon as possible to lower public loss, but carry out mission with care and prudence to prevent accidental injuries.
