According to China Steel Corporation, the production of Oxygen Furnace slag (BOF) is about 1.5 million tons / year, however, due to the problem that BOF slag might swell, most of will be reused only as a non-structural filling material. To understand the BOF slag fine aggregate of the relevant engineering application characteristics, the BOF slag fine aggregate is divided into two kinds of particle size in this study: In addition to measuring the amount of expansion, and the use of X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analyzer and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometer and other analytical techniques. The results show that when the BOF slag fine aggregate is added to the cement mortar, the swelling rate is only 0.16%, which is lower than the standard value of 0.8%; while the activity index over 110% is higher than the standard value of 75%, and then it is also very stable with long-term dissolution test.
