Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 工業工程與管理系碩士在職專班 === 105 === The structural unemployment in Taiwan has caused salaries to regress to the amounts seen 16 or more years ago. To make it worse, increasing overwork, job stress, and workload have been the reasons why talented people seek employment elsewhere or have a higher intention of leaving their jobs. Such cases are frequently reported on news media, especially for the electronics and manufacturing industries. As job performance and job satisfaction are the key factors that determine the success or failure of a company, the ways to efficiently utilize resources, achieve a win-win situation, and improve job satisfaction and job performance will be the solutions to the overwork culture in Taiwan. Employees are affected by various influences, such as the work environment and job performance, in the workplace. Thus, job stress is unavoidable for every employee. Moderate levels of stress can motivate employees to make progress, whereas unbearable stress can be the last straw that breaks the camel's back. Incidents related to overwork, heavy workload, and job burnout have frequently occurred in recent years. However, very few researchers in Taiwan have explored the influence of workload on job satisfaction. The present study targets the engineers in XE Electronics Co. Significant improvements were observed in job performance and job satisfaction when the workload was fixed. When the workload was negative, job performance and job satisfaction declined, and employees became unable to find a balance.
