Summary:博士 === 銘傳大學 === 企業管理學系 === 105 === This study explored the mentor-protégé relationships under Chinese cultural in Taiwan. The purposes of the research are determining the critical features of the mentoring relationships of chefs; and to develop a mentoring relationships theoretical framework with a cultural perspective This study employed in-depth interview method to collect data from 32 expert chef’s mentoring experience in Taiwan after reviewing the related literatures. Then, content analysis was used to analysis the data. Four critical features of mentoring relationships were emphasized the work tasks, affection, role model and family functions. This research is an innovative issue, there has no researchers explored the chef's mentor-protégé relationships under Chinese cultural. The results contribute to a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of mentor-protégé relationships of chefs and analyze the behavioral characteristics of mentoring relationship from Chinese culture perspective and presentation of cultural subtle effects on behavior.
