This paper explores the related interests, costs, and risks that the business would consider by analyzing case studies. Moreover, it provides the evaluative criteria for selecting outsourcing institutions, which has considered the related factors. In addition to the common outsourcing reasons such as lowering manufacturing costs, indirect acquisition of human resource, and lowering capital expenditure, the case company also values corresponding government policies and tariff advantages while planning for the global structure.As for the cost factors, case company particularly focus on the transaction costs and implicit costs derived from outsource transfer.In addition, the costs incurred from after sales service and customer complaints are factors that have not been mentioned in previous studies.Regarding the risk factors, this study has consistent findings as previous studies. The evaluative criteria from business to outsourcing institutions mainly focus on quality, cost, services, the production techniques, delivery performances and the order fill rate. Interviewees stating service and policy factors have not been mentioned in previous studies as new discoveries of this paper, while other results correspond with previous studies. In addition, in some cases, businesses failed to consider the management structure and past performancefactors, which are inconsistent with previous studies. The findings of this paper can be utilized as principles for consumer electronic businesses and related industries when identifying outsource institutions.
