Chemical structure of three polymers were characterized by the 1H-NMR and FTIR spectroscopies. The average molecular weights of the polymers were determined by the GPC. Good thermal stabilities were obtained for three polymers. The energy gap of the polymers was increased with increasing the content of carbazole derivative. In addition, LUMO energy levels of PDPP, PDPCz21, and PDPCz11were -3.99, -4.00, and -4.05 eV, respectively, while the HOMO energy levels were -5.44, -5.50, and -5.57 eV。Bulk heterojunction photovoltaic devices were fabricated with the structure of ITO/ PEDOT:PSS/ Polymer:PC71BM (1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 w/w)/Ca/Ag. The PSC fabricated from the blend of PDPCz21 and PC71BM (1:3, w/w) exhibited the short circuit current of 4.25 mA/cm2, the open circuit voltage of 0.37V, and the power conversion efficiency of 0.63% .
