The effect of salicylic acid (SA) is still unknown in ice plant under salt stress. In this thesis, I used nitroblue tetrazolium (NBT) and DAB (3'', 3''-diaminobenzindine) staining to detect the effects of salicylic acid pretreatment on superoxide and hydrogen peroxide content under salt stress. The results showed that pretreatment of SA can reduce the content of superoxide and hydrogen peroxide indicating that SA could reduce oxidative stress in ice plant seedlings under salt stress. To determine which antioxidative enzymes were affected by SA pretreatment, I detected activities of four antioxidative enzymes including APX (ascorbate peroxidase), MDHAR (monodehydroascorbate reductase), DHAR (dehydroascorbate reductase) and CAT (catalase). The results showed that pretreatment of SA enhanced the activity of APX, MDHAR, DHAR and CAT under salt stress, indicating that SA could reduce ROS accumulation under salinity-induced oxidative stress. In addition, the effects of salt stress on the activities of APX, MDHAR, DHAR and CAT were not consistent, suggesting that salt stress had different effects on different antioxidative enzymes. 顏宏真 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 38 zh-TW
