Two methods, 3-phase amplitude relation diagram (3PARD) and 3-phase time relation diagram (3PTRD), are utilized in the real-time diagnosis system. First of all, three sets of 1/2Hp induction motors are adopted, which functioned as three samples to indicate the discharge defect in slot discharge, co-phase bar-to-bar discharge and out-of-phase bar-to-bar discharge activity. Then, the partial discharge signals are measured through self-made sensors. Next, the three-phase partial discharge signals are simultaneously acquired through partial discharge detecting circuit and digital signal processor (DSP). The acquired three-phase partial discharge signals are further diagnosed using 3PARD to compare the amplitude and 3PTRD to compare the time. Through such efforts, we could effectively position the discharge source of the partial discharge. Meanwhile through such efforts, we could prevent potential noise interference. In order to further facilitate the detection of defect and diagnosis analysis, DSP is used to process the data acqusition and data transmission via ethernet to transmit the acquired data to the personal computer (PC). Further by means of LabVIEW, we conducted real-time analysis of the data so as to effectively diagnose the phase of defect Such a process constitutes a set of integrated remote on-line fault diagnosis system.
