This research aims to investigate the exercise preferences and demand among high-risk cohort of dementia (older women with normal cognitive function or with mild cognitive impairment (MCI)). Meanwhile, analyze the relationship among exercise space planning, exercise behavior and cognitive function of older women. The research methods are questionnaire, second-hand information collection and expert interviews. And four villages in Tainan are selected as the empirical study area. The result shows that almost 30% participants have MCI or serious cognitive impairment. In addition, the findings also support that exercise space planning has a positive effect on both exercise behavior and cognitive function of older women. Therefore, we can conclude that shaping supportive environments for exercise is crucial. Moreover, this research proposes several suggestions for amending relevant laws and regulations of exercise space planning. The suggestions span across the level of planning, the level of Periodical Overall Review of Urban Planning and the level of design. Tzu-Yuan Chao 趙子元 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 90 zh-TW
