Summary: | 碩士 === 國立暨南國際大學 === 觀光休閒與餐旅管理學系 === 105 === The purpose of this study is to investigate the causal relationship of the students in the internship program. The practice's perceived impact on students' intention to pursue the tourism and hospitality career after graduation. In order to understand the influence of internship program on tourism and hospitality students' career expectation and employment intention, this study was used mixed-method, quantitative research was the main method and qualitative method was also adopted to further confirm the results, a total of 107 and 112 questionnaires were collected, and the results showed that the pre-internship readiness had a positive relationship with overall internship success. Supervisor’s support and student’s resilience had a positive relationship with overall internship success. Internship perceived success also had a positive relationship to the employment intention. Also, in order to support the results of quantitative analysis, 10 internship students were invited to participate in the interview through the semi-structured to investigate the factors affecting students.
Based on the results of the analysis, some management implications were emerging which would be useful for improving the effects of internship program and give advice to schools, industry and students.
