The purpose of this study has fourfold. First, to understand the situation of role pressure and job involvement of military instructors at senior high schools and vocational high schools in Taichung city. Second, to explore the differences of senior high school and vocational high school military instructors’ role pressure in personal characteristics and job involvement. Third, to analyze the differences of senior high school and vocational high school military instructors job involvement in personal characteristics and role pressure. Fourth, to analyze the relationship among role pressure and job involvement of senior high school and vocational high school military instructors in different background variables. This study was conducted through questionnaire survey. The participants of this study were 225 military instructors from senior high school and vocational high school. Every participant completed a questionnaire for investigate the relationship among role pressure and job involvement of senior high school and vocational high school military instructors, which consisted of participants’ background, role pressure scale and job involvement scale. The data were analyzed using PASW Statistics 18 proceeded with t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation. The major findings showed six conclusions: First, the role stress of military instructors at senior high schools and vocational high schools in Taichung city is in the medium level of role pressure scale. Among them, the role conflict is seems to be major source. Second, the job Involvement of military instructors at senior high school and vocational high school in Taichung city is above medium level of significance. Among them, the job evaluation has the highest response. Third, with regard to gender and age of military instructors at senior high school and vocational high school in Taichung city, the female and the young military instructors showed higher role pressure. Fourth, male, married, senior and directors of military showed better job involvement. Fifth, it displays a significant negative correlation between the role stress and job involvement of military instructors at senior high schools and vocational high schools in Taichung city. The higher the stress, the lower the involvement. Sixth, the role stress of military instructors at senior high schools and vocational high schools in Taichung city has significant prediction on their job involvement, wherein role-ambiguity is the major predictive variables. According to the conclusions, this study provides recommendations for military instructors, senior high school and vocational high school, supervisory organizations of education administration and future studies.
