Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立體育大學 === 適應體育學系 === 105 === The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of agility ladder curriculum on physical fitness (BMI, muscular endurance, cardiorespiratory endurance, flexibility, muscular power, speed and agility) of students with intellectual disabilities. The research was conducted in a junior high school in Taoyuan City and the subjects selected were 18 students from the special education classes. In order to investigate the development of physical fitness, subjects received the agility ladder curriculum for 12 weeks, twice a week, and 45 minutes for each time during the experiment period. Descriptive statistics and Paired-sample t-test were performed for the data analysis. Statistical significance was set at a level of p < .05. The results indicate that muscular endurance, cardiorespiratory endurance, flexibility and muscular power were significantly improved after agility ladder curriculum was involved. This study concludes that the agility ladder curriculum can improve physical fitness for students with intellectual disabilities in special education classes.
