Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立體育大學 === 體育推廣學系 === 105 === The study aims at representing, by means of narration, the life story of a visually-impaired athlete to explore the development process of sport passion and self-identity and relevant factors affecting these two variables. To achieve this objective, the study adopted semi-structured in-depth interview using a purposive sampling method to interview a visually-impaired athlete for information collection. Research findings are as follows: the self-identification course includes “Confuse and Contradiction”, “Acceptance and Affirmation”; the development of sport passion includes “Compulsive passion”, “Coexistence of Compulsive passion and Harmonious Passion”, “Harmonious Passion”. In the development of sport passion, self-identification plays a critical role in transforming obsessive passion into obsessive passion. As to the relevant factors affecting self-identification development, two main categories of factors as “Individual Internal Factor” and “External Environment Factor” are included. Research conclusions are as follows: the transformation of both self-identification and sport passion varies according to mental growth, time, and environments. It is not only a dynamic process, but it also varies according to an individual’s self-acceptance of disability and to others’ opinions on the individual.
