Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 輔導與諮商學系 === 105 === This study adopts self-narrative, describing my experience of a cross-culture and long-distance relationship. This study is based on the story of my romance, discussing the process of the relationship, my values of marriage, and the feelings and experience of being in a cross-culture and long-distance relationship. The results of this study generalize five categories of my experience: “experience of communication,” “battles of contradiction,” “attractions,” “perception of relationship,” and “Christian view on marriage”. The results also found that cultural difference is like a paper tiger which looks terrible but harmless actually. Long-distance is a two-sided sword. It may cause instability in relationship but could help lovers to be more determined to maintain it. Christianity is the “lamp for my feet, a light on my path”, giving me direction and purposes for being in love. This study also provides individuals in the similar situation a deep understanding and supports, and advices for mental health workers.
