People react to time consciously, and will memorize specific things. The creation of Time and Distance is based on author’s thought about where does time start, and where does it end. Past, present, and future are not just being used as study material, but also being used in daily bases. By using those tense, people realize time is an important part of their lives. The artist was inspired by changes that is made by time. This paper will elaborate the motivation, theory, expression, and analysis for Time and Distance. The first chapter is talking about the motivation and the goal. The motivation of Time and Distance is based the experience of the artist, and the analysis of time. Then it is going to talk about the goal, and clearly the area and limitation of this research. Next, it explains the difference between ideas about time with time theory. In general, time is considered linear or cycled. This chapter draws the differences between those two ideas, questions what changes time has done, and what meanings time has. Then discuss time with Henri Bergson’s philosophy. The third chapter focus on the content of this research. To clearly the connection between the expression and time, it discusses the art technics in Time and Distance by studying the relationship in between art, expression, and technics. The next chapter bring up the changes of author’s mindsets, which is based on time changes, to analysis the art. By creating, it questions time and mind; by implementing the ideology of this creation, it turns the inside thought to pieces of art. The final chapter concludes the motivation, the goal, elaboration, and the process of creation.
