There were 74 counselors with qualified license recruited as the research subjects by using snowball sampling in responding the questionnaire.
The analysis revealed findings are as following: (1) the counselors exhibited high level of emotional labor and emotional intelligence; (2) emotional labor and emotional intelligence are positively correlated; (3) there is no correlation between emotional labor and emotional exhaustion; (4) there is no correlation between emotional intelligence and emotional exhaustion. Suggestions and limitations for future studies, researchers and counselors are discussed.
