It is a question whether leaders merely pursue for enterprise performance and ignore enterprise culture and enterprise ethics to cause the generation of crisis, and even the state-owned enterprises are also beset with the crisis, thus people have lost their expectation for enterprises. In many literatures or theories on managerial leadership, only the researches into the effect of leadership style on learning organization or job satisfaction and the changeable leadership styles depending on environmental factors (circumstances) are conducted, and there is rare research into the effect of leadership style on enterprise culture and enterprise ethnics. In particular, no literature or leadership theory indicates what relevant effect leadership style has on enterprise culture, enterprise ethnics and enterprise performance in the organizations with high authority system and highly structured state-owned enterprises. This research took state-owned enterprises as research subjects to understand whether leadership style has an effect on enterprise performance, enterprise culture and enterprise ethnics in state-owned enterprises. Due to the great limitation and difficulty in the acquisition of research samples, with the 4 state-owned enterprises (CPC Corporation, Taiwan Power Company, TWSC and Taiwan Sugar Corporation) affiliated to Ministry of Economic Affairs in Hualien as research subjects, the closed questionnaire items were used for the design of questionnaire survey in each dimension in this research, and in terms of survey method, the research was conducted in a manner of questionnaire distribution; after the retrieval of questionnaire scales, they were analyzed systematically by SPSS statistics to verify the effect of leadership style on enterprise performance, enterprise culture and enterprise ethnics in state-owned enterprises, and then descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were conducted to verify the iii hypotheses of this research and research conclusions and relevant issues were proposed as suggestions.
