Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立宜蘭大學 === 生物機電工程學系碩士班 === 105 === Implantable recording devices used for physiological signals has been widely used in the study of behavior of animal, for example, the ECG recording coupled with tracking the locomotion at the same time. However, these results was not sure whether it was the real animal’s performance or the results interfered by such implantable recording device. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the influence of the implantation of recording device on the locomotion and heart rate variability(HRV) in rats. 40 male Wistar rats were used, and classified into 4 groups. The experimental group(n=16) was implanted an ECG recording device (referred to as electrode) with the cable, implanted electrode but without cable (n=6), sham operation (n=10), and normal group (n=8). The experiment was divided into 2 stages: (1) The pre-test only tracking locomotion. (2) The post-test, recording both ECG and locomotion. The pre-test was occurred on the day before surgery, and day 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18, day 20 after surgery, totally 10 epochs. The results demonstrated the implanted device would influence the different parameters, different stages of behaviors, and we need to consider the optimal days for testing according the aims of the experiments.
