Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄海洋科技大學 === 海事資訊科技研究所 === 105 === This study aims to estimate water level changes caused by a solitary wave passing various types of embankments for the water tranquility in a harbor. In our 3D simulation we used a harbor model including the area of 500×500 m2. Three-dimensional incompressible viscous model was used to analysis the water tranquility in a harbor while a solitary wave propagating from the source area to the harbor area. Here we consider a harbor with four types of embankments to simulate a solitary wave motions around the computational domain, in order to evaluate the tranquility of a harbor basin. The Case 1 is the original harbor without the consideration of embankment. The Cases 2 to 4 have embankment with the angle of inclination equal to 30°, 0° and -30° along the head of embankment in the x-direction. The study must take into consideration the fluctuation of water elevation inside the harbor including the phenomena of reflection and refraction and diffraction of waves inside the harbor. Based on the open sea wave parameters, the wave height equal to 5 m and direction parameters and water depth equal to 10 m in the computational domain were calculated. We also considered wave fluctuation inside the harbor caused by a solitary wave passing the harbor, and the dynamic display of simulated flow fields such as velocity vectors and pressure field were presented in order to examine water level changes in the harbor area with the consideration of various types of embankments. The results obtained show that Case3 and Case 4 provide a better goal of breakwater extension at a harbor.
