This paper discusses the effects of different vehicle speed,orbital unevenness, wheel - rail contact force and friction coefficient on derailment quotients. It also compares the influence of the FASTSIM and POLACH algorithm on derailment factors. The result of data analysis shows that the faster vehicle speed will induce the larger train derailment coefficient. In the other hand, the greater the coefficient of friction between rail and wheels causes smaller the derailment factor. When the rail irregularities on the side track and the Kalker‟s scale factor is equal to 1.0, it has the greatest impact on traffic safety. According the above description, the influence of the rail irregularities,wheel/rail friction coefficient and wheel/rail contact force on the dynamic analysis of a railway vehicle can‟t be disregarded.
