Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 美術學系 === 105 === This study is focused on an European Bacchante painting in 19th century. The art works were showing the age of characteristic. In the painting object were started in religious history to analyze the origin of legends, social belief and mythology figures attribute. This study systematically to collect the religious inherited and spirit. The painting just represented “tease and allure” , ”ultimate mad ” and ”symbolic of harvest”. In different painters were draw in “tease and allure ”¸ ”ultimate mad ”whom represented narrated style in whole paintings whether on the form or core content all having the atmosphere of age and ideality socialism preference. In ”symbolic of harvest” painters draw in idealism and realism two different tasted and incarnated the origin feature of Bacchante. In 19th century the culture and views of the era were building different from of painting styles which reflected on the officially painting and modern realistically painting. All above this have built the uniqueness in 19th century paintings. However in 20th century the mythology figures were gradually forgot. But the modernism of Bacchante artistry stands for the continuations of symbolic spirit.
