Subjects were 585 schoolteachers of public elementary schools in Kaohsiung City. 572 valid questionnaires were retrieved and collected. The effective response rate of the questionnaire was 97.8%. The research instrument applied in this study were three scales created by the researcher herself; the researcher had related studies and researches as the foundation of the scale. Three scales were “Scale of Spiritual Health,” “Scale of Well-being” and “Scale of Self-efficacy.” The researcher analyzed the data through the applications of descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, canonical correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression prediction. The conclusions of this case study are stated as follows: 1. The recognition that the public elementary schoolteachers had on spiritual health was in the upper-intermediate level; subjects presented the best on both “connection with others” and “appreciation to the nature.” 2. The recognition that the public elementary schoolteachers had on “well-being” was above the intermediate level; on such a perception, subjects presented the best on “positive emotion.” 3. The recognition that the public elementary schoolteachers had on “self-efficacy” was above the intermediate level; on such a perception, subjects presented the best on “the ability of guiding students to learning.” 4. The public elementary schoolteachers who had religious beliefs perceived the highest level of the recognition on “spiritual health.” 5. Public elementary schoolteachers with backgrounds stated as follows, male teachers, part-time directors, teachers who had a master degree and above and married schoolteachers, perceived a higher recognition level on both “well-being” and “self-efficacy.” 6. The positive correlation among “spiritual health,” “well-being” and “self-efficacy” is significant. 7. On the whole, both “spiritual health” and “well-being” have a significant correlation. 8. Both “spiritual health” and “well-being” present significant predictabilities; among such predictabilities, “creating a meaningful life” is the one that can best predict schoolteachers’ “ integral self-efficacy.” Based on the study results, the researcher is capable of providing advice for educational administration institutes, schools and schoolteachers for further studies.
