There are 4 pharmaceutical industry managers conducting in-depth interviews with a semi-structured interview outline. The conclusion of this research are as follows: 1.The core competency includes leadership, marketing, compliance behavior, corporate culture and values. 2.The professional competency includes the professional competency to staff and customer. 3.The management competency includes the achievement of business objectives, training courses, personnel management, time management and communication skills. 4.The general competency includes English ability, computer skill, file management, other ability. Eventually, some suggestions are provided to pharmaceutical industry managers for a more comprehensive understanding on the pharmaceutical industry.
