Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 數學系 === 105 === Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a multi-drug-resistant pathogenic bacteria that receive the most attention. MRSA cause blood, skin, joints, respiratory, soft tissue and other infections. The purpose of this study was to investigate survival analysis of patients with Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infection, this was a study using survival analysis on 284 patients with MRSA infection. We use Kaplan-Meier Curve to calculated survival time in 30 days, hazard ratios for certain variables were estimated using the Cox proportional hazards model. The findings from the Kaplan-Meier analysis of the results of the MRSA survivors indicated 1-day cumulative survival rate 98.2%, 7-day cumulative survival rate 89.1%, 10-day cumulative survival rate 83.1%, 20-day cumulative survival rate 73.9%, 30-day cumulative survival rate 63.4%. The result from Cox proportion hazard model analysis of prognostic independent factor were presented in the following: age, bacteremia, pneumonia, cirrhosis, chronic obstructive pulmonry disease and leukemia. Applying the Cox proportional hazards model to quickly diagnose and implement efficient infection control programs to reduce the medical costs.
