碩士 === 國立臺北護理健康大學 === 資訊管理研究所 === 105 === Breast cancer is one of the most important cancers in women around the world. The number of new cases of breast cancer in Taiwan has already broken the 10,000 mark each year and has caused more than 2,000 unfortunate deaths. Many academic studies point out that the external environmental factors of breast cancer may be attributed to Secondhand smoke, drinking, drinking and alcohol consumption habits, radiation exposure, working environment, eating habits, aging, family genetic, obesity, the use of (Diethylstilbestrol, DES) Etc.
Although there were relevant past studies on the external environment factors of breast cancer in Taiwan, most statistical analyses had done little concerning interactive visualization differences between database indexes of counties/cities and the general trend status of breast cancer. Based on interactive visualization, this study will be able to obtain open information, which can be summarized into three categories: air pollution, health behavior, social status, a cross-domain integration is conducted based on open data in counties/cities to present it in a data visualization manner.
The aim is to investigate the correlation between the exposure to external risk factors and breast cancer incidence rate in Taiwan. This involves integrating the open government data and establishing an entity-relationship model (ERD) using R statistical language integration visualization it, and investigating the correlation between the exposure to External risk factors factor and breast cancer incidence rate in Taiwan.
The results of this study concern about air pollution, the first vehicle density, factory density, NO2 analysis of its relevance, and to investigate the incidence of breast cancer correlation. In addition, the literature points out that PAHs have a high impact on the occurrence of breast cancer. Taiwan currently does not provide PAHs Open Data. Therefore, the vehicle and factory density are used as an alternative indicator. This study finds out that vehicle density and breast cancer have a high degree of relevance, which suggests that the government can strengthen its publicity and that this finding can also play an important role in policy advocacy to encourage people to take public transportation.
In the case of healthy behavior, the smoking rate of Taiwanese women is less than 8%. The impact on the incidence of breast cancer may occur in a few years. However, female tobacco exposure known as secondhand smoke is the main hazard. Due to the implementation of smoke control law, which prohibits people to smoke outdoor, indoor exposure to second-hand smoke has increased. In addition, obesity is one of the main causes of breast cancer. This study finds out that the number of Taiwan's beverage store sales has a high degree of association with the occurrence breast cancer. The fructose ingredients in alcoholic beverage will cause obesity. It would be better for women to get more exercise to prevent obesity.
With the employment of women, the work environment may lead to the occurrence of breast cancer. In addition to secondhand smoke at the workplace, academic literature points out that the working for long hours and night shift jobs may lead to unhealthy eating behavior due to work pressure, such as the purchase of beverages which may cause obesity. Those who have a long working hours in Taiwan include service and sales workers, legislators, senior officials, and managers. These occupations are potentially high-risk groups. The government should establish a sound and safe working system so that women can take adequate rest and reduce the incidence of breast cancer.
This study integrates and analyzes the information and open government incidence of breast cancer by using data visualization for analysis. As a result, this study may provide an effective platform to relevant healthy institutions and the government to perform more beneficial breast cancer prevention advocacy, raise public awareness on breast cancer, and lower the harmfulness of external environmental factors on breast cancer in the future.
