Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北護理健康大學 === 醫護教育研究所 === 105 === The number of patients with ostomy is increasing due to disease factors, but there is no complete education program for clinical nurses. Hope the efficenece of ostomy skills and recognition can elevate by multimedia CD-ROM-based. This study aimed to investigate the effect of stoma care education intervention by multimedia CD-ROM-based for nurses. Research was performed following the principle of quasi-experimental design. A total 78 nurses from single medical center in Taipei and two of its branches were recruited and randomized to either multimedia or traditional learning. All participants received the pre and post‐test about stoma care recognition, self-evaluation about care skills of stoma and stoma care self-efficacy before and after the learning course. After the different intervention, all participants received the learning satisfaction test. The χ2 test, Fisher's exact test, and unpaired t test was used of homogeneity of two groups. The paired t test was used to analyze the difference in pre and post‐test about stoma care recognition, self-evaluation about care skills of stoma and stoma care self-efficacy in two groups. The difference between the two groups should include the test of homogeneity about categorical variable (education level). The multivariate linear regression was used to examine the difference in pre and post‐test about stoma care recognition, self-evaluation about care skills of stoma and stoma care self-efficacy in two groups. The research result showed two groups there was no significant difference in the pre and post‐test about stoma care recognition, self-evaluation about care skills of stoma and stoma care self-efficacy, but there was significant difference between two groups statistics. And there was no significant difference in learning satisfaction test. Conclusion: According to the results of this study, it suggested that multimedia CD-ROM-based can become one of the nursing staff in-service education. supplementary teaching strategies in the future.
