| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 諮商與應用心理學系碩士班 === 105 === The purposes of this study were (1) to understand current situations of the differentiation of self, social interest, and loneliness of college students. (2) to investigate the differences in differentiation of self, social interest, and loneliness among college students from different demographic backgrounds. (3) to explored the relationships among differentiation of self, social interest, and loneliness of college students.
The research sample consisted of 681 students from college in Northern, Central, Southern and Eastern Taiwan. The measurement used in this study includes the Scale of Self-differentiation (student version), the Scale of Social Interest and the Scale of Loneliness Based on College Samples. The data obtained from the samples were analyzed by descriptive statistics analysis, t-test, ANOVA, canonical correlation, and stepwise regression analysis. The findings were as follow:
1. The differentiation of self that current college students have is average; The differentiation of self that current college students have is above average; The differentiation of self that current college students have is below average.
2. There were significant differences in differentiation of self, social interest, and loneliness between genders.
3. There were significant differences in differentiation of self, social interest, and loneliness between colleges.
4. There were significant correlations among differentiation of self and social interest.
5. Current students’ different differentiation of self and social interest could significantly predict their loneliness.
Based on the results of this study, we propose some suggestions for students, teachers, counselors, and future studies.
