Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 語文教育學系華語文教學碩士班 === 106 === This paper mainly discusses the semantic/pragmatic classification of the adverbs“cai”and “jiu”.Based on the classification of dictionaries and predecessors'studies, this study attempts to verify the classification with corpus data, discovers the prototypical linguistic patterns and collocations involving these two adverbs, and finallyprovides some teaching recommendations. The advebs “cai”is divided into five categories, and the adverb “jiu” is divied into eight categories.This paper adopts the categories from the dictionary “practical focus on difficult words for practical Chinese as a foreign language”. The adverb “cai” has five categories:1, time 2, completion 4, condition 5,tone, and the other adverb”jiu”has eight categories1, time 2, condition 3, quantity 4, concessions 5, reason 6, range 7, tone 8,connection. After the analysis of the corpus, we can find there are roughly the same as the hypothetical functional categories.Then weanalyze the content of the corpus, for example, the corpus type of adverb "cai", "jiu", contexts, common collocation words and sentence patterns. Finally, we review the current Chinese textbooks, provide some suggestions for teaching Chinese and how to compile teaching materials, and teaching instructions and instructional design are carried out according to the common sentence patterns summarized in the corpus.
