碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 台灣文化研究所 === 105 === After a long period of history and culture accumulation , Kaohsiung city have been forming to be a multi-level ocean culture area . “Yancheng” located on the side of Taiwan strait witnessed the Kaohsiung Harbor’s functional changes and prosperous history from the fishing port to the commercial port. And it also has been vicissitudes because of the limited of the hinterland. The changes of spatial usage which linked with industries development made "Yancheng industries" a unique culture. On the other hand, how to make good use of marine culture is also an opportunity for "Yancheng industries" to reform with local characters. According to several breakpoints of "Yancheng" developing history , and comply with historical data and map analysis , we can explore the path of its industrial transformation. How could it develop from the border to inland, and gathered the low-cost economic indutries to create the accumulation of economic benefits. Experienced the gravity of business transfer from the west to the east，"Yancheng" have been becoming more and more marginalization. How to use the advantage of the past experiences, and integrate the ocean culture to reform the industries with cultural heritage in the current tend of the new industries “Culture and Creative industries”. "Yanchengnese" hope to attract the new generation to stay hometown and reforming the " New Yancheng style "again. " Yancheng " area’s characteristic creation is not only a memories inheritance or the metropolis style creation,but also the industrial, economical and the ecology communal development. Only "Yancheng" area’s unique oceanographic characters can continue to manifest this place gracefully and represent this place to the international world widely.
