On the other hand, the gratitude affects the individual’s thinking and action but this is often ignored in business administration. A man with authenticity could influence others unconsciously but less data could support the linkage between authenticity and leadership. The purpose of this study were examined the relationships among the authentic leadership, gratitude, and job engagement. Moreover, the effects of the authentic leadership on the job engagement by the mediation of the gratitude were examined. This study is focused on the staff of the Tainan Branch, Marketing Business Division, CPC Corporation, Taiwan. The 165 effective questionnaires were collected from 200 copies. The results reveal that authentic leadership have a positive and significant relationship between the gratitude and job engagement significantly. The gratitude also could positively influence on the job engagement. The positive effects of the authentic leadership on the job engagement, however, are not mediated by the gratitude.
