| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 機電系統工程研究所產業碩士專班 === 105 === Buying arch corrective insoles for their children is a difficult decision for parents. Some say that arch corrective insoles have good effects on most children, while others say children have the same results without them.
In order to avoid missing the best time to correct the arch of the foot, I want to find the right time for children to use arch corrective insoles. According to the collected data, the arch index of children from 2 to 14 years old who had used arch corrective insoles for 8 months changed.
In this study, I collected data from 182 children who actually used arch corrective insoles. 90% of high arch children and 60% of low arch children improved their arches. This collected data also indicates non perfect corrective timing groups. These groups are children before age 3, who have weaker muscles and ligaments, those who are obese, and those who are going on to adolescence after age 10. These groups receive no obvious improvement from using correctives insoles.
