A purposive sampling was adopted to collect the data.  Research instrument are questionnaires of exercise behavior and physical self concept scale. One thousand three hundred and sixty four questionnaires were sent out, and 1338 responses were received, the overall response rate is ninety-eight percent. There are 1294 valid questionnaires. The data were calculated by Independent-Samples t Test and Pearson product-moment correlation.  The results revealed that in both the frequency of exercise and the concept of physical self concept, single-sex education female students is higher than coeducation female students. Both of the results indicate positive correlation. The survey concluded: (a)There are statistically significant differences in the exercise participation between single-sex education and coeducation female students. (b)  There are statistically significant differences of physical self concept between single-sex education and coeducation female students. (c) The study findings may serve as a guide for further research on the relationship of junior high school female students’ physical self concept and exercise behavior concept between single-sex education and coeducation .
