The typhoon hit Taiwan about 3-4 times a year. The impact of wind can’t be ignored in daily life. The current building wind code of Taiwan is based on ASCE 7-02. However, the complex geography and climate in Taiwan are different from America’s. Therefore, some building wind codes need to be amended, because foreign building wind codes are not suitable for Taiwan. Selecting single typhoon is the majority of the former sampling of the wind speed. This study is about using maximum wind speed of typhoons. Using the wind speed data of the Central Weather Bureau cast by radiosonde, this research includes the data of Banciao station and Hualien station for 2004 typhoon Nock-Ten、2005 typhoon Haitang、2010 typhoon Fanapi、2011 typhoon Nanmadol、2013 typhoon Soulik、typhoon Trami、typhoon Kong-Rey、typhoon Fitow、typhoon Usagi、2015 typhoon Soudelor and typhoon Dujuan. Measuring the data of eleven typhoons can accurately obtain average wind speed profile’s parameters in Taiwan area by increasing the number of samples. Finally, we set up a tall building example to analyze the difference of wind codes in Taiwan, America, Japan, and China. The analysis of these different wind codes will provide more references for revising the building wind code in the future. This study has the results as follow: The value of α is 0.374 in Category A and 0.353 in Category B. The Zg is 803.73 m in Category A and 779.91 m in Category B. Compared with each country's code, the value of α as well as Zg is above the average of each country's code. Jang, Jing-Jong 張景鐘 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 108 zh-TW
