Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 藝術與造形設計學系碩士班 === 106 === The main theme of this creation "flower mirror" is flowers in various settings. Working like a metaphor, flowers are pictured as mirrors to review myself, reflecting the feelings of my emotions, representing self-awareness. The entire creation is like a decent process of self-dialogue, enabling myself slow down the journey to listen to the voice deep in my soul. I started it from the experiences in life, I thought about the life encounters, allowing my sentimental consciousness presenting in the art work. The main purpose of the creation is self-discovery, self-exploring and self-breakthrough, to release the positive energy towards life in general. For the creating aspect, I used the oil paint as the main media, using the integration of objective impression to present the subjective spatial performance, to create a self-dialogue context. As for the self-statement, by analyzing the works of art and understanding the artist's creative ideas and performance style, I used image-analysis to explore the impact of my own work; through action research to perform creative exploration and convey my self-feelings. To face the social environment in our day to day life, we are set into a ‘’frame’’ limiting ourselves to act in a certain way in order to meet the norms of social values. Not only this invisible frame limits our originality, unknowingly and surprisingly, it somehow prevents ourselves from being seen by the society and others in certain way. The creation of this artwork is to analyze the impact of the ‘’frame’’ to our life and feelings. From the point where we realize that the existence and formation of the ‘’frame’’ , to discover its influence to our lives, and finally put aside the bond by releasing it completely, listening to the our own voice deep down. One’s life is a non-stop journey of self-improvement. The goal of this creation is to seek a successful course of life. The first step to do so is to accept the imperfection of ours. Through the process of the creation I cultivated the ability to think positively and re-discover self-identity. At the same time I hope that the process of the creation can be used as one of the teaching elements, to guide students to learn "self-reflection" to set foot on the road of life-growth. I believe that only when the dream is big, can we compete it well.
