Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 自然資源與環境管理研究所 === 105 === Due to rapid progress of civilization, economic activity and industrial development, urban population increased gradually. As a result, human activities disrupted natural environment. Despite the economic growth, many environmental problems arose, decreasing the quality of life for high-density cities. In order to improve livability of the city and reduce the use of private motor vehicles, government has begun to promote green transport, encouraged people to take public transportation, and use low-pollution, low-energy public bicycles or electric vehicles as short-distance transport. Public Bicycle System is being used to solve the “Too far to walk, too close to drive” dilemma, as well as “First mile/Last mile” problem to reduce the dependence on the car and scooter. In addition, it also reduces traffic, energy consumption, carbon emissions and time spent on walking. This research used the Scenario Analysis to analyze the public bicycle's carbon emission benefit of Taipei city and New Taipei city. The results show that it can reduce over 9,000 tons of CO2 per year. Moreover, Social Life Cycle Assessment is used to study “consumer user phase” of the stakeholders in society, local community, and value chain actors. The result shows positive effect for the most part and is presented in a life cycle sustainability dashboard.
